Lubricants for mining and earthmoving
Mining equipment ranges from haul trucks, shovels, loaders, dozers and drills to fixed plant such as crushers, vibrating screens and grinding mills. Loads are high, sites are dusty and wet, and temperatures swing widely.

Sinopec at work in mining
World's largest ball mills, Western Australia
SINOPEC AP-S 320 gear oil lubricates the gearboxes of the Ø7.9 × 13.6 m overflow ball mills (2 × 7,800 kW) at Citic Pacific Mining's Sino Iron project. After the first milling line from July 2021, it was approved for the second line in November 2021.
Komatsu 930E electric-drive haul trucks
AP-S 680 has run in the wheel-motor drives of Komatsu 930E trucks at Shenhua's Heidaigou open-pit coal mine since March 2017 on a 3,000-hour drain interval, and in Komatsu 830E-AC trucks at Western Australian mine sites since 2021.
